Substance Abuse Prevention

Specialist Training (SAPST)

 

 

The Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council’s (GSSAC) Prevention Center is dedicated to promoting quality prevention programs throughout Eastern Washington.  To help reach this goal, the Prevention Center, in collaboration with Spokane County Community Services, is offering the Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST).  This training, developed by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) and the Western CAPT (Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies), provides a thorough overview of the prevention field and gives participants the knowledge and tools to build effective programs.  Participants in this training will explore a variety of issues related to prevention including the Risk/Protective Factor model, program planning, evaluation and more.  Through this training, participants and agencies will gain the ability to enhance their efforts and design prevention programs that will create real, long term results.

 

Date: 5 day training-call for dates

(must fully complete all 5 days to receive certificate)

 

Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
